Larimar is a pastel aqua blue gemstone with swirling white inclusions. This stone was first discovered by Miguel Mendez in the Dominican Republic in 1974, who named the stone from a combination of his daughter’s name “Larissa” and the Spanish word “mar,” meaning sea.
