8" Strand Sets

Through the years, we have worked with our sources to develop affordable, re-orderable, 8” strand sets designed specifically for bead stores. These sets were created to offer bead stores consistent, re-orderable, quality products at a great low price. We’ve chosen to have them strung in 8” strands, as opposed to the traditional 16” strand, to create a lower price point and thus making an easier sale.

All of our 8” strands have a loop at the top to make hanging quick and easy, while also creating a neat and attractive wall display. An 8” stand also allows you to display more products in less space, giving your customers a selection they’ll love. Each variety comes grouped on a hook, making them “ready to hang” right out of the box. All 8” sets have re-order sheets to make ordering fast and easy.

When purchasing an entire 8” set, each variety comes with 10 strands per hank. We are also happy to sell less than a hank per variety. Please indicate on your order sheet the number of strands you wish to purchase. If purchasing less than a hank of 10 strands per variety, we can’t guarantee that they’ll be grouped by hook.

Trunk Shows

Beginning our trunk show program was the idea of Cherry Tree’s owner and buyer, Bill Edwards. Cherry Tree Beads runs the most comprehensive, all encompassing trunk show on the market today.  Over the years, we have perfected our Box Trunk Show program and it continues to be a bead store favorite.

Trunk Shows are a wonderful way to get new products in your store with no up front costs.  All shows can be customized to your shop and customer needs.  Trunk Shows allow you to “test” our products on your customers.  Once you’ve seen which products your customers love, you can order them at special bead store prices.

Most stores elect to have trunk shows quarterly.  Hosting four shows a year insures that you’ll not miss new products!

Cherry Tree Beads 2011 Trunk Show Basics

For our standard trunk show, we ship approx. $14,000 worth of retail inventory - all priced, excluding $4 items.  Products are to be sold at tagged price and all sales from the show are split 50/50%.

Included with trunk show products is a hard copy itemizing the inventory sent and the corresponding prices.  Another copy of the trunk show inventory will be emailed and is to be used at the end of show to calculate totals.  Any miscounts and/or broken strands need to be reported to Cherry Tree, either by phone or via email, before starting the trunk show.

 We suggest using a 6’ or 8’ table with baskets and/or bowls to display the trunk show inventory.  This seems to be the easiest and fastest way to sell the products and keep them organized for the return shipment. 

Most Trunk Shows are on display for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, count the remaining unsold inventory, mark on the label of each bag and on the provided inventory sheet the number returned.  Once the “Number of Strands - Returning” column has been filled out on the inventory spread sheet, the final trunk show total will be displayed at the bottom of the worksheet.

Cherry Tree pays the shipping to your store and you are responsible for shipping costs to return
inventory after the show.

We prefer to ship using flat rate boxes, offered by the US Postal Service.  USPS’s flat rate boxes are free at your local post office or can be ordered online and delivered to your door.  The USPS flat rate boxes are the cheapest and fastest way to ship heavy products like beads.

It is strongly suggested that you advertise for your show.  Profits are always greater when advertising has been done.  For your first show, we have no minimums you are required to sell.  However, if your trunk show does less than $700.00 gross sales, we will be unable to allow you to host another show.

Payment to Cherry Tree Beads can be made in several ways.  You may use the inventory sheet to figure out the profits and send a check with the returned boxes.  You may also wait for us to receive the shipment and call with a total, at which point you may either send a check or have us charge the card on file.

Trade Shows

Did you first discover Cherry Tree Beads at a local trade show? We got our start on the show circuit back in 2001 and have continued to have a presence at most major shows throughout the US. Please come see us in Tucson at the To Bead True Blue Show, in Milwaukee at the Bead and Button Show, and in Philadelphia at the Beadfest shows. In addition, we can be found at shows all up and down the east coast.

Warehouse Shopping

We are happy to offer two east coast warehouse locations available for shopping in North Carolina and Florida. Our Asheville, North Carolina warehouse is responsible for shipping all Internet and mail orders, as well as Trunk Shows and is managed by Jennifer Fulton. Cherry Tree’s owner, Bill Edwards, manages the warehouse in Evinston, Florida, where all our imported products first arrive in the states to be priced, tagged and sorted. We love having customers visit us! If you are in our area and would like to visit, please call to arrange appointment.

• Take I-40 to Exit 47 (Farmers Market/NC 191).

• If traveling I-40E- once off exit take a left.
