Blue Goldstone Beads & Pendants

Blue Goldstone is a sparkly deep cobalt blue man-made glass, often shaped into beads and pendants.
In jewelry design, Blue Goldstone looks lovely with both silver and gold-toned metals. We love pairing Blue Goldstone with gray and white stones, including Hematite, Moonstone, and Labradorite. Pearls also compliment Blue Goldstone.
Although Goldstone is not a naturally-occurring mineral, Goldstone glass has been beloved by many designers throughout recent history. The widespread manufacturing of Goldstone started in 17th century Italy, although sculptures and amulets of a similar material to Goldstone have been traced back to 12th-century Iranian artistry. In order for Goldstone to be created, copper ions must be heated to over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit in a low-oxygen environment to melt into glass stone. Blue Goldstone is made by adding powdered cobalt to the glass during the fabrication process, giving it a deep, luxurious blue color.
In the metaphysical community, Blue Goldstone is used for emotional protection and positivity. This is believed to hold healing properties that connect us to our intuition and self-expression.
