Ametrine also pairs well with clear quartz, enhancing clarity and amplifying intentions.

While the origin of Ametrine's name does not stem from a specific location like Amazonite, this exceptional gemstone is primarily sourced from the Anahi mine in Bolivia. The distinctive geological conditions of this region give birth to Ametrine's remarkable coloration, making it a sought-after treasure for gemstone enthusiasts worldwide. Beyond its captivating appearance, Ametrine is believed to possess remarkable metaphysical properties. It is renowned for its ability to calm the nervous system and promote inner peace, helping to ease racing thoughts and anxieties. This gemstone is often sought after for its transformative qualities in releasing emotional trauma and negativity, allowing individuals to embrace healing and positive change. Whether you seek balance, emotional healing, or a renewed sense of joy, Ametrine can be a powerful ally on your spiritual journey.

Ametrine is a naturally-occurring blend of Amethyst and Citrine. This stone has a blend of purple (Amethyst) and gold (Citrine) gemstones for a unique look. In jewelry design, both silver and gold metals coordinate well with Ametrine. Using Amethyst and Citrine in designs with Ametrine enhances and complements this stone beautifully.

Ametrine is an extremely rare stone found only in the South American nation of Bolivia.  Geologists refer to Ametrine as a “bi-color quartz” since it naturally holds two different variations of the quartz mineral. The Ayoreo, an indigenous tribe native to eastern Bolivia, is said to have first discovered Ametrine more than 500 years ago.

Metaphysically, Ametrine is believed to hold the healing properties of both Amethyst and Citrine. These properties include spiritual awareness, wisdom, success, and self-esteem.
